Nitrofur Macr 100 Mg Side Effect...possible Bad Reaction

I took this drug about 5 hours ago. I am now very itchy and my skin is red and hot especially in the joints and my head and neck groin and backside. I have taken a shower but it did not help. What should I do? I have taken this as macrobid before and have never had this reaction or any for that matter.

It is normal for your body to change, with time, as you age, so it is always possible to develop an allergy to something, even if you have used it before, without any problems.

In addition, though they are considered inactive, the fillers in generic medications are usually different than those used in the name brand, so it is possible to have a reaction to one of them, as well.

In this case, it's probably not advisable to continue to use this medication and your doctor will need to prescribe an alternative.
