im pregnant more than two montn now,i have severe urine infection,and i bleed when i pee with pain,is it safe to take nitrofur-macr100mg.thanks

Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections and it is only warned against use during the last trimester of pregnancy and during labor and delivery.

At this point, with that severe of an infection, it is very important that you get proper treatment, because the risks to you and your baby are far greater if you don't.

This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
