Nifedipine-calcibloc Intake Interval
UpdatedHi, my mom just got her blood pressure 180/100, she took one 5mg @ 7pm then we checked her after 3 hrs but still got the same reading. She again took a 5mg. Is it OK?
How long is the right interval and how long should it take effect?

Hello, Necromex! How is she doing?
These medications don't work that fast, it will take a few days before they start lowering her blood pressure and about a month, before they reach their full efficacy level in her body.
So no, she can't keep taking one, checking it and then taking another.
What instructions did her doctor provide with the medication?
