Nexium And Sluggish Bowel Syndrome

Updated May 14, 2013

One important thing no one talks about is how nexium works on the sluggish bowel. Without the nexium and especially if you are taking other constipating medications, nexium helps to keep the bowel moving. I have evidence, as I have not had nexium for 2 months or more and I am in the most terrible pain. My prescription drug company will not approve my nexium and insists that omeprazole is the preferred choice. Who are they? Have they ever used the medicine?

I'm very sorry about the problems that Ann had.

And to add some information for anyone else seeking….

Nexium contains Esomeprazole, so it and the Omeprazole are both proton pump inhibitors and will work in the body in the same manner.

You can learn more Nexium details here and you can learn more Omeprazole details here.

It is normal for insurance companies to prefer a generic, since it helps keep costs lower.

Are there any comments or questions?

Is there anything I can help with?
