Since long my wife aged 54 years is suffering from depression. Three weeks ago her doctor prescribed Bupron XL 150, 1 tab. in morning and Nexito LS, 1 tab at night. But since then she is unable to sleep properly at night and the depression also worsened. When contacted the doctor told her to take double the dose prescribed early. The situation worsened. Now she is totally drowsy and at night also she is feeling that she is awake.

It really sounds like these just aren't the right medications for her to take.
The fact that she is experiencing the opposite of some of the intended effects is what makes me suspect that.
Has she contacted her doctor again?
I think there's a good chance that she needs to try alternative medications.
