I'm a 21-year-old male who previously struggled with OCD. I have been taking Nexito 10 mg for the last 4 months and I'm curious about potential side effects. Specifically, I'm concerned that it might be affecting my libido. Could you kindly provide clarity regarding the side effects of this medication? I hope you don't mind if I ask two more questions:

1. Will the side effects of Nexito 10 mg continue to persist after I have completed the course?
2. What could potentially happen if I abruptly stop taking this medication?

While I understand the second question is rather common, I would appreciate it if you could provide me with a clear answer. Additionally, could you please guide me on the appropriate procedure to safely complete the course of this medication?

Nexito contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, this is an SSRI antidepressant.

That said, yes, it can cause sexual side effects, such as erectile dysfunction and loss of libido.

Other side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.
