Can nexito 10 be given to a tp patient?

My daughter 16 years of age is having I Q of 72. She has also been suffering from morbid obesity since 6 months of age. She is now weighing 85 kg. No reason/cause of this had been identified. All tests such as thyroid/ chromosomal studies have been found normal time and again. For some time now she is having problems in swallowing, eating. She had been prescribed anti depressant drugs Nexito 10 and Pacitane 2 mg but nexito 10 was given only for a few days and that too irregularly due to feeling drowsiness. Now a few days back she had suffered a fit. She went unconscious for 15-20 minutes. She was rushed to hospital. EEG had been done which shows a normal result. She had undergone MRI test 2months before this seizure in which cerebral atrophy had been detected. Now doctors hadn’t prescribed for repeated MRI. Some of doctors had not found this cerebral atrophy significant. Now doctor at PGI Chandigarh has prescribed Levetiracetam 250 mg and Baclofen 10mg twice a day for seizure and problem relating to swallowing and stiffness. But the problem is my daughter after taking these drugs goes into sleep and does not remain active as before. Her response remains confused and distracted.
Please inform whether these medicines are necessary and their pros and cons with reference to status of my child. What more tests sre required. Is there any repercussions to withdraw medicine Baclofen etc.

All medications carry the risk of side effects, even over the counter products, however, after 6 years your risk of experiencing them is minimal, unless you would be changed to a higher dosage.

Nexito contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, it is an antidepressant and these have also been shown to be effective at helping some people with certain types of nerve pain.

The normal side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain.
