New To Pain Management

Updated

New to pain management and they do a UA every month. I am prescribed norco 7.5 x 6 times a day. My question is, if I take more than prescribed and then take as I should a week before the UA, will I be okay? I believe it is a regular UA as it costs $18. It should only show the last 72 hours or so of use, not the whole month, is that correct? Anyone else have the same situation? Please don't judge...

Are u worried about the level of the opiate in the UA's? In my area, UA's are given for 2 reasons. First, to determine if "street drugs" (main drug: methamphetamine) are in your system. And to make sure the prescribed narcotic(s) is present in the patient's system.

Hi. Yes, levels. In my research, the window of detection for urine can be up to five days, even for the more specific drug panels. So I'd assume they would not be able to tell if i took more at a time than i should in the beginning of the month. Of course there's always a chance i could be called for a random ua but im referring to the monthly evaluations. Thank you for responding!
