Updated
So I've been doing some research and came across these new drugs out now or coming soon. Just wanted anyone's opinion on them. Or if you have tried them, what do you think?
1: Vantrela ER (Hydrocodone Bitartrate)
2: Arymo ER (Morphine Sulfate)
3: Probuphine (rod-shaped subdermal implant that last for up to 6 months & costs anywhere from 1,700-5,000 bucks for six months worth)
4: Belbuca (Buprenorphine) doses run from 75-900 and costs run from 250-700 bucks
There's one more but it does not have a name yet. It's just called NKTR-181. So if anyone has any info on these please share your thoughts and or if you tried any of them please let me know how they worked or didn't work. Or if I left some out or you heard of other ones I didn't mention please feel free to update me.

Exactly,, you nailed it. I can't believe that they are getting away with this , pain dr.s / clinics are closing doors, don't want to deal with treating chronic pain,, if you are lucky enough to have superior insurance or are on the ellete side of life,, maybe your name appears in the stars or you throw an awesome football ,,,, for those people, the good stuff, otherwise forget it, you and your quality of life do not matter ,, this new government issued pill is all you are going to get, so get used to it,, America the great !!
Re: Drakee (# 1)
Was it Vantrela though or was it a generic? If so, what was it called? Was it expensive? And I believe you when you say it did absolutely nothing for your pain! What did you switch to? And have you heard of any of the other ones I mentioned? I currently take oxymorphone 30mg ER and oxycodone 30mg IT. Both are great.
Re: Drakee (# 1)
This is EXACTLY what the politicians and others that have no concept of pain want. A so called "opioid" that has no effect on the consumers of these "meds". They think that by manufacturing an "opioid" that has no effect on people (and thus no effect on pain) will cause the long term chronic pain people to not be addicted to their pain meds. If you take any of these so called "opioids" you may as well be taking straight tylenol or advil from an over the counter source. The main difference being that a Doctor can prescribe these so called "pain meds" and over the counter pills like tylenol and advil cost whatever is charged for them and will not be reimbursed by your insurance. This is the world we now live in. People with long term chronic pain are being grouped into the group with illegal drug users and street level addicts. These new "formulations" are a scam and absolutely worthless.
Yes, I've tried the hydrocodone/bitartrate. For me, the only good thing is it protects the liver. It does nothing for pain and I mean nothing!! I've had to take 3 at a time and that doesn't help. So I don't care for this opioid at all.
