New Pain Meds

I live in Ky and been on pain meds probably 13 yrs but recently I was gave a script for tyneol 3 by my gastric dr and he knew I had a family dr prescribing loratab 10's but I filled the script for tyneol 3 and my family dr run a kasper on me called me and told me she can no longer write me any controlled substance scripts is this true? please help I am desperate !

Hello,

I think your best option would be to ask your doctor why she can no longer write the prescriptions you need. What she prescribes is at her own discretion and if she says that she can't write a prescription for a certain medication, then she is allowed to do so. Maybe a new law was passed in your state that won't allow her or other doctors to prescribe certain medications.

thanks ...I live in Ky. she said its due to the pill mill new law...and she gave me a tapering dose thats like 45 pills when she has prescribed 120 pils for prolly 10 yrs ! dont see how this dosage will get me off of them!
