New Generic 30 Mg Adderall Xr (all Orange W/ R 3061 On Them) Not As Effective

please share your experience with this never seen before, less effective drug that two different pharmacy's have given to me in last two months. they make me fall asleep!

I am also having major issues with this. Actavis 3061 puts me to sleep. Something has to be done. I am thankful I found this site. Hopefully others will reply or give input, these are bad.

That may be true but there truly are differences in effectiveness and I doubt there is much oversight of proper active ingredients. This is why we need inspectors and regulations so please (repubs) think it through. In this climate we need assurance that are foods , meds, air, water, etc are safe and easy on the planet.

XR adderall claims are just not true,! and I dislike all these “health” sites spewing the same misinformation despite no first hand experience. Such malarkey . I find it hard to dose correctly even some Drs don’t know that your dose should be the total of what you took of IR in a day. Ie. If you took 2 20 mg pills of IR you’d take a 40 XR which claims to release 20 mg initially and “they claim”another 20 mg in 4-6 hours. But, not in my experience. Puts me to sleep sometimes. Maybe different manufacturers is key but hard to request.

How did they take care of it? Me and my daughter have narcolepsy and we are having troubles with staying awake . I don’t want the dr to think we are seeking for additional meds

No that’s not exactly true. Sure the active ingredient is the same, but generics can vary up to 20% in strength from the name brand (not from each other) so one manufacturer could be 20% weaker than the original while one may be 20% stronger than the original, which would make a huge difference in effect between the two generics.

All I know is if they’re made by Aurobindo or Auro Brands they’re likely pretty fake. I had to stop going to Rite Aid because that’s all they order. I prefer Teva adderall and the only place here that consistently has them is Wallgreens.

All I reference to are 30mg XR.

Actavis: Imprint R-3061 Absolute junk

Elite Laboratories: Imprint ELI-515 Absolute junk

Global Pharmaceuticals: Imprint m amphet salts works the best that I have been able to get for the last couple of years.

Side effect from all 3 is chronic cough with chronic phlegm in my throat. Not sure what brand I had before but these new generics out there are terrible.

First time taking it this morning. I usually take 1 x 30mg adderall in the morning and 2 x 20mgs IR thru the day. But just got orange ones and they kicked hard and made me start sweating. But there not as good as the big ones that say RP On them though. I like them the best. But the break thru 20 mg it twice thru the day help out a lot.

I have been on Adderall for years and ended up getting mydayis instead of Adderall and I am telling everyone I know that mydayis is so much better than Adderall... trust me

I’d like to know why something isn’t done regarding the ineffectiveness of these generics. Yes, all the generics are about the same poor quality. Can’t the FDA do something? I’m sure that if they read the comments here, if they were truly concerned about the quality & cost of these generics that they’d investigate the actual ingredients in these medications. It’s absolutely pointless to waste money on Adderall XR or IR. And, some of the druggist charge more than they should and they all swear that their generic is top quality and get angry if you ask the brand they carry. Not fair!
Has anyone ever tried Par Pharm? Garbage!!!

Adderall was life changing for me in a positive way. Almost 2 years in to taking generic 25mg xr, my company’s insurance signed a contract with CVS and that became the only in-network option for any RX. Like most people, I thought all generic meds had to be made identical to the brand but after a year of feeling like it wasn’t only working but actually making me feel worse mentally, I could no longer convince myself that it was all in my head. I did a google search and found many complaints Similar the mine about the same generic brand (Amerigen pharma) that is the only generic cvs uses for adderall. The contract between my insurance and cvs ended this month and immediately got a new script to be filled at Walgreens (who uses Sandoz pharma) and NOT to my surprise, the ‘life changing effect’ was there again. I was horrified when I found out that Pharmaceutical company’s can alter any part of their generic brand and told the pharmacist at cvs the difference between theirs and the one Walgreens uses. He said the FDA has a form you can submit when experiencing an off feeling/less potent generic brand and report it to them. That is next on my to do list.

Well it could. Generics can vary in strength up to 20% from the brand versions, weaker or stronger. So one manufacturer may have less active ingredient than the other.

The generic orange adderall XR is terrible. I take Adderall XR 30 mg once a day.
I miss the days when Shire and Barr produced Adderall and Dexedrine. Years back the medicine actually worked as intended for focus and alertness. I have ADD and MS and I am unable to get really anything completed and it certainly does not last 12 hours!!! I am lucky to get 4 hours from the medication.

I am also a narcoleptic have been for many years none of these time releases pills work. They also put me to sleep.the pills that use to work the best the FDA took of the market. They determined it didn't work.who ever determined that I don't know. I suffer every day. But I'm only one person guess I'm not important.
