New Generic 30 Mg Adderall Xr (all Orange W/ R 3061 On Them) Not As Effective (Page 6)

please share your experience with this never seen before, less effective drug that two different pharmacy's have given to me in last two months. they make me fall asleep!

Do they make a white or orange 30mg Adderal??. Please if anyone can tell me I'd appreciate it so much. I think someone is telling me wrong.

I had gastric bypass 13 years ago and have been on adderall for a few years now. I would love to know more about the issues that we will/do have with adderall. Currently a 30xr only lasts approx 4 hours for me! And if i take like 15mg non xr, it only gives me an hour or so. Love to know ur thoughts. Thanks!

I take what you describe. .30 XR and 15 IR. I have the same time period as you with the XR, about 4 hours or so. The IR, being active seems to help. Almost as if you have to get your blood going for it to affect you. And i will never take Actavis manufactured Adderall ever again. I felt like I was poisoned.

I posted in August re the ineffectiveness of the "All Orange" generic, 30mg XR. I took a 4 month hiatus and restarted - NOTHING! About 2 weeks ago I stopped again and I have to say I notice no difference whether I'm on these meds or off them. I was diagnosed fairly late in life and having had symptom relief for the past 7 years life becomes really hard and frustrating without proper medication and dealing with the classic ADD symptoms - inability to focus or complete tasks. The change in effectiveness of this medication was sudden and immediate - It was evident with the very first dose from a new prescription. To my mind that means a change. It may well be that only the "inactive" ingredients were changed - but it would seem that this has also affected the ability of the active ingredients to cross the blood/brain barrier. This represents a substantive change in the medication itself and renders it useless for many with ADD. My pharmacist, (CVS) says they have received no complaints - which I find difficult to believe given this and many other threads. I have scheduled an appointment with a neurologist and will report back. I am beginning to wonder whether the FDA benchmark for generic drugs is meaningful, i.e. Minimum levels of the active ingredient in blood serum is at all valid. There is no doubt that the FDA has been defended to such an extent that it would be impossible for them to analyze every generic against the manufacturers application data and, while ineffective ADD medication just makes life miserable it should be of more concern for medications whose ineffectiveness is physically dangerous!

Last month I change to Express Scripts to receive my prescriptions by mail. I take Adderall XR 30MG in the morning and Adderall 20MG in the afternoon. I've never tried this Actavis ones till now and the changes are terrible. I've been one month taking this crap and I am depressed, slept, I cannot concentrate, I need to take lots of coffee and I don't have the same motivation as I had just one month ago. Last Friday Express Scripts had my new prescription ready to send. The Rx was for 90 days and they were ready when I called them and asked them to send brand only. They asked me for a new prescription specifying "brand only", my doctor did it and submitted it electronically. On the evening I checked the their website and the prescription wasn't ready. Today I called them and they begun asking me the same questions they asked me before again and again. At the end I told them that if I don't have the medicines brand only on monday I will cancel the service and I'll complain to the FDA. Take care and don't trust Express Script it's not only adderall, the other meds I use are the worst. I thought it could be a good and reliable source but it become a SCAM!!!

I'm so glad I found this thread! About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with ADD, after a long battle of being misdiagnosed and prescribed medications that didn't help. I don't enjoy taking medications, I only take what is needed. I naturally have a high tolerance to medications which is one of the reasons I will avoid taking any unnecessary meds.

With that being said, I started off taking 15mg for the first month and double it up if needed (due to my tolerance for meds). 30mg did in fact help so much! I was doing great in school and clinicals. I'm not sure the name of the ones I started off with. They were a two color capsule, orange and another color. I got these at Walmart, which I never fill scripts there. My normal pharmacy (CVS) didn't have my medications in stock at the time.

Last month I filled my script at CVS and was given the all orange capsules with R 3061 printed on the pill. These didn't help at all! I lost my focus/attention again, they made me tired (which is weird considering I don't get tired, I've been taking ambien to sleep for years) and not just tired, but that really intense tired where you feel like you are going to drop. To include (tmi), I've only been going #2 once every other week, I gained weight (probably for not going to the bathroom right), and I've all around felt blah and sluggish.

I fill my script today and after reading all of this I now know I didn't build up some crazy tolerance, it's the medication. I will be making sure that I don't get this same crap. Thank y'all so much for all of the comments!

Activis (R 3061) Adderall really seemed to have messed with my mind while on it. I was incredibly depressed (very dark), exhausted, felt less intelligent, and the only thing I could focus on was how tired I was and worthless I felt. I lost the ability to do things I used to be able to do. At the time, I feared it to be permanent I looked at my face in the mirror, and it looked lIke was brain dead. I felt as if physically and mentally I will soon shut down. You think it's just growing a tolerance to the medication, and it wasn't. You begin to realize it may be the particular generic. The pharmacy disagrees, and your doctor seems skeptical. They think you're looking to score some high, which I have never felt this buzz or sped up feeling some describe throughout my history of taking Adderall.. You then question yourself, then think you're stuck in it forever. You may think if you stop this medication, you'll be even more exhausted. No, you're not suddenly exhausted and sad. Nothing new has happened in your life to cripple you this way other than this generic Adderall you've taken. My wholehearted suggestion is to refuse it until you find a pharmacy (Walgreens is a Barr/Teva option) with an alternative. It takes a few weeks to get back to normal after taking it, so do it as soon as possible. I'm now able to do the things I literally thought I'd be no longer capable of doing.

The orange pill with just numbers has so many fillers its ridiculous they can even call it an Adderall generic. My Rite Aid was kind enough to take them back and give me the generic Adderall made by Teva. They are a capsule with orange on one end and the clear end has the little beads. I'll be honest.... real Adderall works the best but our insurance decided to not pay enough which meant I would pay 100. a month instead of the 12.00 I had been paying for the real thing for over three years. I think its crap to do that to someone but who can ya fight right? Maybe if you ask for the Teva brand at the pharmacy they'll get it for you.

I just got this same RX. I am not shocked to find the same results from others. I am use to the generic Adderall by TEVA this is a new one by ACTA with 3061 on it. I have not had the same affect. I have felt tired all day long, unmotivated and confused.

Promised I'd revert. The neurologist suggested Vyvanse and prescribed 30mg. Unfortunately I found no symptom relief, but worse I became angry - not about anything in particular, but by everything in general. I've never, ever been an angry person but I certainly was with this. It took a few days to realize it could be the Vyvanse, at which stage I just stopped taking them. First day off them I was no longer angry - ADD riddled, but not angry. Next appointment at the neurologist not until June 10 and unfortunately I have my son's wedding between now and then. Perhaps it's too low a dose of Vyvanse, but my fear is that if 30mg filled me with anger would 60mg make me homicidal? (Kidding!!).

Could it be that Actavis made a change in the constituents of the capsule itself? If so, would it not be possible to just open the capsule and take the contents in a glass of water? Really don't know - guess I'll find out next month.

As I've said previously, this change in the Actavis generic occurred suddenly from one refill to the next. That being the case, given the results we see on this site, perhaps generic manufacturers should not be permitted to change ANY part of an approved medication, active or "inactive" without FDA approval.

OK life sucks without ADD meds, but ill-considered changes like this could be life threatening in some other medications. Frankly, EITHER the full funding needs to be restored to the FDA to enable it to do its job, OR shut it down altogether. Because believing your medications are properly regulated is far more dangerous than knowing they're not.

If your insurance covers it, see if the doctor can write you a new script. If you get, let's say 20 MG XR, see if they can write a new script for 10 mg, twice a day but take as initially directed. Don't continue to take the Actavis, find a new pharmacy.

They are made by Actavis, They make. Me sick to my stomach. They are the guys who are putting the crappy oxycodone out. I have to check ingredients. If you have allergies you have to change brands quickly,

Actavis is HORRIBLE. No effect whatsoever even after tripling my dose. I gave myself a U/A after 4 days of this and it was NEGATIVE for amphetamines. I knew something was wrong when I took it and wanted to go back to bed, but the drug panel just confirmed that they are peddling sugar pills and labeling them generic Adderall XR 30mg. I reported this to the FDA Medwatch system and would encourage anyone else to do so that has had this issue and also save your unused meds, as I did, in case the FDA wants to analyze them. Teva is the only other brand I have used and it works great :)

I had Cvs order a different brand. I asked for Teva and they did get them. I also have a nice relationship with the pharmacists and that is the only Cvs I frequent. I am now on Medicare since I no longer work. They follow you on all narcotics, therefore I never pharmacy hop. Also it pays to stay in the same pharmacy so they get to know you.

After experiencing unusual side effects to this newly acquired XR30 (3061 on side) I know something was up. I didn't experiencing the same effects and felt extremely tired at days end. It's been 3 months now and I'll be contacting the doctor next week. I thought it was me? I've been experience the same negative effects as everyone describes. No Walgreens in the area to request or receive alternative generics. What a terrible choice to put on market and suggest that's its comparable!

These new 3061 orange caps are a joke. I literally took 3, YES 3-30 MIL and absolutely nothing happened. I even fell asleep within a few hours. What the heck is up? I'm going to give myself a UA for amphetamines because something is screwed up!

Just got teva adderall. Works great. Those orange round one's by actavis suck. They're useless. I hated work and everybody. They have to be fake. I never even finished the bottle and the pharmacy said oh I haven't heard anything. Bulls***, that's why you have teva now.

Did you get Teva generic with a logo B974 for the 30mg or did you get the ones that are supposed to be name brand I think that logo has AD 30 on it. Activist actually was pretty good until they put impurities in them and degrading products and were recalled. They didn't last long in the body but at least you knew you had taken a stimulant. Actually better than the Teva B 974.
