New Federal Xanax Laws? (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I have done a lot of reading on the new United States 2013 Xanax laws. There aren't any? You can still obtain up to a 6 month supply of any schedule IV (4) medicine which includes Xanax. Some States have limited MD's to writing for a 30 day supply even forcing you to see a Specialist and putting you on a 'performance plan'. Please do not confuse local and State laws with Federal laws!

I went through a similar situation here in northern Cal, when I was informed by my so-called "health care" provider that my Xanax prescription would no longer be available.

Never mind, that is the one medication that actually seems to have been working quite well for the past several months...

But of course, actual real help and common sense is not allowed here!

Nameless bureaucrats in Wash DC decided that Xanax is the new evil whatever, and mindless lawmakers who simply want to appear like they're doing something useful glommed onto this... and so now, it is the new maxim. Evil Xanax must be purged!

Well, f*** that BS.

But meanwhile, the mindless bureaucrats and politicians can pontificate and say "see, see, look, look, we're doing something, see, see", placate the clueless voters, and pocket money from the pharma companies hoping to market their latest new whatever pill they're trying to push.

Is it just me, or does anyone else here see something wrong with this picture?

It could be just you and your provider. Xanax is highly controlled and available in each of the 50 United States as of 10/13/17

So agree ! Been on generic Xanax for years. 2mgs, 4 X a day. I am the Most Anxious person I know. I only take 3 a day and save 30 a month for Hard Times, like in our "go Bag if we have to bug out. Xanax is NOT the WITHDRAWAL you want. It's weeks long w/diarrhea and no Sleep for 3 weeks and then I couldn't take it. Thought I'd try to quit, but no way can I stand that withdrawal.

Hi I have been on xanax about 10 years for PTSD and Essential Tremors I take 2 mg 4 times a day because its very advanced. They stopped my meds all by sudden in Arizona. im from California years of doing what they can tried every med only one that works is xanax so my neurologist said due to it being so sever it has gotten worse and there no cure ive had it sense i was a baby from traumatic brain injury fractured skull she realizing xanax worked best keep me on them and its helped me be able to feel allot better i have tremors in my whole body i was held captive by my in home care taker who tortured me so i moved to oh. then to ok. then to az all by sudden after 10 years on 2 mg 4 times a day the doctors here suddenly stopped my meds cold turkey im freaked out i had to seizures all the doctors i see tell me no i cant have them its crazy im in horrific withdraws what can i do im scared sorry about my texting im legally blind its so hard to see what im writing please help me
