Neurofeedback For Orthostatic Tremors
UpdatedDoes anyone know if neurofeedback has been used successfully to treat orthostatic tremors in legs? My father has been mostly in a wheelchair for 2 years. Several doctors told him he had some type do Parkinson's but could not pin it down, they said maybe a rare form but just blew him off. He never exhibited signs of it but they were at a loss. They said take an antidepressent and that's all. Finally a very smart doctor in another city got it right. She said orthostatic tremor and no Parkinson's. She gave him a low dose of clonazepam and the shaking stopped but he still can't walk. He exercises his legs everyday and his muscles are still strong (he was an avid jogger until this hit him). If anyone knows anything, please repond. Thank you.

Hello, Janine! How are you?
I am not sure if that diagnosis is correct, that condition usually only causes the tremors when they person is standing still, the tremors typically disappear, when they are walking or sitting. People that have it do not usually end up wheelchair bound.
Has he consulted a neurologist?
