Needing Clarification
UpdatedPlease clarify: From what I have been able to research on here, it appears that Concerta and Ritalin are actually the same drug. Is that true? I looked under Methlphenidate and Metadate CD and both say commonly known as Ritalin in North America.

That is correct. However Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is immediate release and Concerta is a Slow/Time Release form of Ritalin that is released into the body over a duration of 10 hours.
