Needing Morphone Prescription

I have been prescribed 100mg Morphine ER twice per day for over a year. I am due my new script from my Doc but she is out of the office for 3 days. I have none left (my fault leaving it so late) and none of her partners at the Docs office will refill my prescription I don't think this is right but what do I know?). Obviously the pain is going to be hell but I am more worried about the withdrawal symptoms in the next 3 days. Is there anything I can do to ease the WD symptoms?
Any help is appreciated.

Hello, Ascot! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.

That behavior from doctors is actually completely normal. The others aren't as familiar with your medical history and medication usage. Most will not write for someone that is not their patient, even when in the same medical practice.

The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

As to the withdrawal, when I stopped pain management cold turkey, I found that many times just soaking in a warm tub helped, a lot.

Does anyone else have any ideas to add?
