I am in very bad need of a Dr in the Knoxville, Sevierville, or Maryville area who is not too strick on prescribing xanax. I just lost my Dr && I've been wrote since 1999 after my fiance shot himself in front of me. I am now a single (1st time mother) of a 2yr old boy. && Starting to run out of my last script. I am TRULY SCARED to end up having seizures while alone with my Son. ANY help at ALL wld be greatly appreciated.

I am very sorry, your fears are well founded.
How did you lose your doctor? That's awful.
The problem is there is no way to guarantee that any given doctor will prescribe any specific medication. Since this is a controlled substance that can be habit forming, most will be reluctant to do so, especially if you go in asking for a specific medication.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability.
Does anyone have any advice or ideas that might help?
