Need Help With Negative Test

I tested negative for norco 10 - so now what can I do? I don't think she my (PA doctor) will stop seeing me for other medical problems. She just said she can't prescribe any more pain medication to me because of the norco not being in my blood test. So now I don't know where to turn ... I don't have a bad record of abuse but now it's probably on my medical records right? Can someone please help me actually understand this whole thing I am in a lot of pain & I know she won't see me for my pain so what now :(

Sorry to hear about your challenges. If you don't mind me asking, why do you think you failed the blood work? No judgement either way, but was the test result legitimate? In a case like this it sounds like your doctor needs to protect herself from liability and over-prescribing pain meds. In many cases they would probably be okay with writing more pain medications but they could get in trouble at the federal level and lose their license if they are deemed to over-prescribe. So now to compensate many doctors have gone to under-prescribing to cover themselves. It's a tough situation for everyone.

With that said, you could either plead with your doctor for another chance, or you could try finding a new physician for your pain management. Yes, there is chance that this is on your medical records, but I'm not sure what other option you would have. I wish you the best!
