Need Help Identifying- White Round With A 5 And M

Hi I found pills in a bag in my teenage sons room, and I can't seem to find the right answers online as to what they really are and if they are bad.

They are round and off white to me since they are not the starch white id refer to for white pills. On one side is a 5, and the other has a M that is a pointy font imprint ( if that makes sense) please note there is NOT a square around the M which most results pointed to oxycodone or Ritalin. It is not scored either.
Please help me identify this since all results had inconsistencies on what the pill was based on all the specs.

The only other one I can find with the marking of M 5, without a square is a 5mg Northyx, which contains the active ingredient Methimazole. It is used to treat thyroid conditions. NDC: 11528-0300

Its typical side effects may include nausea, headache, mood changes, weight changes, and a mild rash.
