Re: teeamacc (# 2)
I know this is old. But just wondering if you found a dr in Temecula? I also live there. Thanks
Been on norco for 6 years at 10/325. I ran out of medicine so it was bad. They think you can wait till they feel like writing a prescription, now I have none. Desperate in Indianapolis, Indiana.
i have had dentists tell me it's a medical issue and doctors tell me it's a dental issue, i also have several factors that make some of the treatments not possible, i do wear full dentures and have also gone to the tmj clinic at san fransisco state univ. to have surgery for it however they have stated until i can get a solid bite the surgery is useless and would probably on last a couple of months. this has been going on for years i've seem ear, nose and throat doctors, neurologist, pain clinics, pychiatrists, shots in my jaw and nothing has helped, since the doctor took my pain meds away i have only the lidoderm patch or the voltran which is another antinfamatory, i am in so much pain and have to grand kids that i am raising-i don't have alot of money to keep going to the doctors and have test done, i'm at the end of my rope with the pain and just want it to stop. i don't even know if another doctor could help me but i am so ready to have it overwith. thanks for all the concern- i need an outlet
Have you consulted a dentist or oral surgeon?
Severe cases of TMJ, such as yours are usually treated with surgery, now. While it was true that years ago people just had to suffer with the pain, there are quite a few surgical procedures and treatments options available, today.
You may be able to find a solution that doesn't require you to spend your life on pain medications.

Teri you really need to find a doctor. With all your history you should be able to get what you need. Every state has a pge online that has. Patients rights to pain relief. Find that page n take that along with your record to a doctor n demand they take you seriously. Everyone has a right for pain care! I understand how you are desperate for meds but buying them off the stree or or advertising that online can really get you into trouble. So please go to a doc.if you need to go to the American Pain foundation site n look on there for pain docs in your. Area. You should be able to post on the forum on there. Also another good forum to ask for help finding a doc is Braintalk communities. They are very active on their chronic pain forum. Hope these ideas help. They have helped me from timt to time.good luck

I live in temecula and like i said have been on norco for over 20 years- i have tried everything else and i mean everything pain clinics, all other meds i was on an antiimflammatory but that gave me ulcers- i do wear a lidoderm patch and voltran gel on my jaw to keep the swelling to a level so i don't get in to much pain while sleeping. norco are the only things that work- i've even tried stronger pills such as percocet and oxys, neither one made it possible to still function during the day-i raise my 2 grandkids and cant be on something to strong. thanks for your reply. i do apprieciate it- right now i'm buying on the street and if i have to go to mexico. the pain is intolerable and at least 2 times a week i am laid up with heating pad, ice packs, nausea, feeling like a knife is being jammed in my head and this last for 2 sometimes 3 times a week. i don't want to give the kids up but i also can't function in this pain. thanks again teri
You should probably been on a extended release med, since your pain is chronic. Also, always consult your doctor if your doseage is not no longer working for you before taking more than prescribed. Norco is not a good med to be on for a long period of time due to the tynlenol. Bad for your liver. Besides all that, where do you live? Maybe we can find a doctor for you in your area/ state. Sorry your in pain. Donna
