Need A Doctor Who Prescribes Meds, Post Surgery, Just Moved To Area

I am new to Philadelphia, moved here from north NJ and am looking for a doctor or a place to get my medicine. I have titanium in my neck and 3 years out from the surgery. Its a 2 hour drive to my doctor in NJ. Is there anyone I can goto? I get either 15 mg or 30 mg oxycodone. Please help.

Due to the enforcement of the new laws, the best thing you could do would be to just go ahead and find yourself a pain management specialist.

If someone requires opiate medications for chronic pain, they have to start seeing someone that is specially trained in helping with pain control, regular practitioners are only going to be allowed to prescribe them for short-term use, such as after surgery, or an accident.

And on that note, since Oxycodone may not be the best option to treat your pain, there is no way to guarantee that any given doctor would prescribe it for you, either.

On a further note, you won't be able to live in one state and drive to another to get your prescriptions anymore, either. They are really cracking down on the control laws.

Have you tried seeing if your old doctor can recommend someone for you in your new area?

He does not know anyone in the area to refer me to. I'm in a really tough spot. I am hoping I get lucky and find a dr or if someone refers me to one.
