Need Help Finding Doctor To Prescribe Either Oxycodone Vicodin Or Methadone 10mg For My Chronic Pain (Page 6)
UpdatedI have been suffering from chronic pain for 7 years and have always been on and off pain meds from tylenol 3 to 90mg methadone at the worst of any ever taken. I decided to dose down & get off of methadone as I did not care for the "clinic" enviroment per say as I was using more for pain then for addicition. I found a dr that prescribed me the pain meds for breakthrough pain and the pill form of methadone 10mg was what I chose but now he is gone as he lost his license which sucks for me because NO ONE will give me anything, not even the methadone unless I go back to the stupid clinc and I so don't want that... DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A DR. that would prescribe anything or just something to get me through life with less pain? I am in the twin cities of Minnesota and I will drive if need be.
unfortunately to go to a clinic it is very very rare for a doctor to prescribe methadone and the subutex strips, so now there's nothing but clinics with people with no goals and abuse benzos. although the clinic I went to was very nice private and understanding, that was for people with goals to get off of it and live a clean sober life which was awesome to be surrounded by people with one goal to get clean and to taper down and then free from liquid handcuffs. I must say it was the hardest drug I've ever had to come off of. 110 days of pure withdrawal and even then I was just starting to feel OK, Devils drug. DEA need to take a hard look at this drug. you're going from a pill form opiate to a synthetic opiate with a opiate blocker, I wish somebody would tell me where that makes sense. drug to drug you're not accomplishing nothing unless you work the program for one year, taper up, get clean, taper off, live life. heed line warning it was the worst experience of my life. How its legal will never make sense to me. they might as well make methamphetamine legal or any illicit drugs. I'm done before you do it. do your research and know what you're getting into.
I have had severe chronic pain since 2008 after a semi trailer hit me in a little S10 pickup. I have suffered from a head injury from ear to ear, I have some vertebra messed up in my neck and my lower back is unbearable at times and I have a pain that feels like a horse kicks me under need my right butt cheek and it radiates severe pain down my right leg the only thing ive ever been able to get any pain relief from are the 30mg oxycodone, and somas for my horse kick so to speak. I just moved here and am having a heck of a time finding a good helpful Doctor. I will take any kind of advice I can get. This is making me very depressed and my life now is very nonexistent due to know pain Dr. Please someone help me! I am having an extremely hard time just living life
Medford, Oregon has a methadone clinic. Just an idea. For a lot it's actually free, reduced or covered on the state insurance. It does help with pain. They start you on liquid.

What are you doing here might I ask? Pain management doctors give epidurals and E. M. G. and try to help us along with pain medication if necessary. My wonderful PCP has no idea who to refer me to. He has said our area is in trouble and that most of our pain physicians have bad reputations. Tried Yelp and I found this to be true.
You remind me of the cold uncaring doctors these people are running away from and doctors do retire and people do move. You should go and do something worthwhile.
Ceecee, I also live in minneapolis and my primary Dr is no longer at the clinic i go to. Would you please inform me of the clinic you went to and or the Dr you are seeing?
Thank you,
I have two bulging discs in my lower back. I am having a problem finding a doctor in Houston Texas. They always prescribe Ultram. It makes me feel sick. The only thing that has really helped my back pain is Norco but, I have not founrd a doctor lately who will prescribe it. I don't want to have surgery that was recommended. Everybody I know that has regrets it. Does anybody know a good doctor to help me with my situation?
i backpain patient tramadol no work only vicodin 5 325 three times daily so please any doctor obamacare policy no other medicine work i take india bupronorphine tab.
WHY are you asking us to find a Doctor for YOU? We have to go find our own Doctors & you should too. No one knows what a Doctor will give you! I have stopped giving out a Doctors name as I do not know your condition because I am not a Doctor! Wherever you live, there should be "pain management clinics". There, they will assess your pain & prescribe to you what you need. You need to go to these Clinics every month to get another refill. You need to check around if obamacare is what you want~obamacare is NOT always the best, especially if you need narcotics I have found, unless you can pay out of your pocket.
Many doctors do not take Obama Care. Medicare does not pay for narcotic prescription even when filled by a pain doctor. Maybe if a person is dying from cancer they might pay. Even with drug coverage they do not even pay for Soma.
Pain clinic doctors are now taking advantage of the new laws. They want years of therapy and epidurals repeated and EMG diagnostics. It is all about money even with mri's showing serious spinal issues doctors want to send patients to therapy and not write prescriptions. It is very hard to find a compassionate doctor.
Please tell me where ice been on meds for 15yrs have medical records and can't find anywhere in rural minnesota everyone is scared
Go to your local methadone clinic. As long as you don't fail a drug panel, within a month you'll only have to go 1 time a week.
Just moved to the Minneapolis area and have medical records to back up my conditions would you please share CeeCee as I'm in a serious situation my script runs out in two days and I have no idea where to go in the whole city.
I would get on line and look at pain management doctors in your area. Then when you find some that look good, get on Yelp and see how their patients review them.
It does work. I found three and I chose one. I had my first appointment and I received my prescription. I was very happy with the doctor who was kind and very understanding.
Some states have Tramadol on a stricter schedule. States can make prescriptions a stricter schedule than federal, but they can't make it a less restrictive schedule than federal

In California Tramadol is given more than I would like to see. My MIL is almost 94 and she is given Tramadol and she does not like pain medication.
I guess it is up to each doctor. I do know quite a few on it but they say it does nothing for their pain.
By the way I did look at pain management doctors in Minneapolis just out of curiosity, and I saw quite a few good pain management doctors. I looked on Yelp and I think everyone needs to get on line and do research.. Plug in your zip code and read. Good Luck.
Hello "Completely Lost,''I moved from Mpls. to Chicago & MISS my Mpls pain mgmnt Doc. His name is Dr.George WILL & he is from the Edina/Bloomington area. He was prescribing my Percocet as that worked best on me, & whenever I needed injections, it was painless except a pin stick! Just look up his name-he was not far from 494 & France ave. so. REALLY, you will LOVE him. He is careful & that is fine, I went every month to either get lidocaine injections from the nurse & my prescripions, or just my prescriptions. Good luck to you. His epidurals are very painless & he knows right where to go to help me move again! I hope this helps.
