Need Help Finding Doctor To Prescribe Either Oxycodone Vicodin Or Methadone 10mg For My Chronic Pain (Page 2)

I have been suffering from chronic pain for 7 years and have always been on and off pain meds from tylenol 3 to 90mg methadone at the worst of any ever taken. I decided to dose down & get off of methadone as I did not care for the "clinic" enviroment per say as I was using more for pain then for addicition. I found a dr that prescribed me the pain meds for breakthrough pain and the pill form of methadone 10mg was what I chose but now he is gone as he lost his license which sucks for me because NO ONE will give me anything, not even the methadone unless I go back to the stupid clinc and I so don't want that... DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A DR. that would prescribe anything or just something to get me through life with less pain? I am in the twin cities of Minnesota and I will drive if need be.

CeeCee, Can you let me know which doctor you are referring to? I live in Shakopee and have chronic pan from fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, & sever joint pain from celiac disease. The only thing that makes me pain free (Ive tried 9 meds) is hydrocodone or oxycodone. Just want it to be simple!

A doctor wont just prescribe you methadone out of no where . You would have to be already recieving a script for chronic pain management and have a valid and reasonable excuse to request the methadone . that is a very strong med with extreme abuse risks . For example i know someone who recieves 35 mg methadone for pain management everyday . He got this from switching from 80 mg oxycontin a day . He has bern slowly building this script in strength for over 8 years . It does not just happen one day .

Boog, they still do ship with no rx. And they're still just as dangerous. Ask all the users who have had seizures from it.

Yea it definitely is a medication to be careful with just for th very reason I only take 3 in the morning three in the evening

Glad u found someone and just make sure he gives you a recommnedation then you won't have to worry about that if he does re-tire. I would never recommend going on methadone but get 5 mg or 10 mg methadone pill instead of juice. u can take it lot less then juice. I can take half of dose of pills versus the liquid and I felt worse from the liquid like straight up withdrawl which I found very interesting.

Does anyone know a doctor in Portland, Oregon who will put a patient back on there 3- 80 mg. Now worse, and that's by a hundred fold when they said he was a good patient and on a controlled pain amount. But, when they said the they had no more room. Go get a primary care doctor to carry your contract, and no one would. Will, after 4 years on that dose they cut him in hakf in 2 and a half months. He now can hardly walk, or work, and screams out at night. If anyone knows who to turn to for Good Pain management well, please help! He's in agony, and worse was his doctor left and he singed a new contact, and was tricked into going back to the old place to be evaluated only. Not. That doctor never saw him again. That same place can see how much worse he is , and it's all about the Money! The same 4 titles they used before and there just higher priced now. $ 267.00 to $300.00 a visit for a refill? I can tell you the next name of the visit before he even goes, as it's that obvious! It's beyond cruel, and insurance fraud! They don't care what they did to him, and what there doing to him now, and you would have to be blind not to see how much agony he's in. So, please if you know of real pain management doctor or clinic in Oregon please let us know. Thank you.

Does the methadone help with the pain better then the oxycontin? It was 3- 80 mg of Oxycontin that they cut him in half on in 2 and a half months. That was after saying that he was a good patient who's pain was controlled. Then no doctor wanted to carry his pain contract he was on for 4 years. So, they cut the dosage in half and in a couple months. He is destroyed with pain, and sadly, tricked into going back there and they See how bad he is now. It's the same doctor and nurse, and she even said the first time how cruel it was , and Is!

If it were that easy people wouldn't be suffering , as Oregon sucks about helping people in real Pain, as there license is more important then the patient's suffering. But, it's there job as a pain management place.

KeeKee, I have no idea what the source of your information is. However, as it stands right now, the most recent action that the DEA has taken regarding ULTRAM/TRAMADOL is that it has RECOMMENDED that tramadol be placed into CSA Schedule IV. That recommendation was published in November, 2013. But, as of January 22, 2014, tramadol has not become a Controlled Substance undr the CSA. Some individual states have placed tramadol into Controlled Substance schedules (and those states have placed tramadol into Schedule IV or V, NOT Schedule III). Right now, however, tramadol is not a federally controlled substance at all.

I have used tramadol and at first I thought it was great. However after taking the meds daily for 6 month I ended up having seizures. Be very careful of it. I have asked several doctors who treat chronic pain and will not prescribe it at all because of a higher risk kidney failure after long term use. While it may be OK for the short term it is not a very good choice for daily use over a period of years. Also just you can get medication over the internet does not mean the drug is safe or legal to use without a prescription.

However, at RECOMMENDED doses, Ultram (tramadol) doesn't normally cause seizures. It's actually extremely unusual for tramadol to cause seizures unless it's being abused by taking large doses.

I am in MN (Shakopee) & I have 3 autoimmune diseases that cause me daily pain...my regular Park Nicollet Dr has me on 100 mg of tramadol 2x/day, but it really does not help much anymore. I may have MS as well (MRI being done at hospital tomorrow)....who do you suggest in MN as a good clinic that is not crazy expensive? I have insurance too...

Schedule V drugs in most states except very few require a prescription. Tramadol, which is controlled in some states in Schedule iV or V, but not in others (yet..) has always required a prescription to legally purchase.
