Need Good Pain Doctor

Hello I broke my neck in 2006& have severe neck & back pain every single day!!I need help please if anyone knows a good doctor that actually cares that I am in severe pain& need pain meds to function in mass area please help me I have been bed ridden for 2 months now!! Just want to get back to being able to function& play with my son maybe get back to work part time.My neck & back are complete mess discs are gone I have screws bolts in neck& also have small fractures in t 5& t 4 just wish could find a doc that can help me out with pain management & get me back on 15 mg oxycodone 4 5 day just take edge off!!Its insane that its so hard find doc who actually cares that I can't even get out bed without real pain meds please anyone knows good doc in mass area that can help me get my life back somewhat anyways!

Hello, J! How are you? I'm sorry that you're so miserable.

It isn't that doctor's don't care, it's that they have to be very careful why they prescribe controlled medications, who they prescribe it for and how much they prescribe. They are very, very closely scrutinized by the DEA and improper prescribing risks their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time.

Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, having them refer you to someone might be the quickest and easiest way to get the help you need.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
