I live in near Aurora, IL. west suburbs of Chicago PLEASE SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW A DR. AROUND AURORA, IL OR W/IN 10 MILES OR SO THAT WILL PRESCRIBE THE PAIN MEDS I NEED. I'VE TRIED AT LEAST 7 OR 8 DIFFERENT MEDS. THE NORCO10'S OR EVEN STRONGER (FEWER PER DAY) WORK PERFECT, NO SIDE EFFECTS. I'VE TRIED ALL THE OTHER NON NARCOTIC AND THEY DO NOT WORK OR I FEEL LIKE A WACK FROM DRUGS LIKE LYRICA. I don't want to be treated like some drug addict...JUST LOOK AT THE MRI FROM LAST WEEK.

All I would like is some gabapentin to help sleep while getting off subs. My sub doc won't help me get off subs. He tells me not one of his patients has ever had problems jumping off 1 mg.

Hertintim- fox valley pain management is not a gynecologist!!! I go there! And they've never had me drop my pants!!!! He is a pain management doctor! All caps if I wasn't on my cell....

one more thing...I go to this place for sub, so your experience could be different. It is a pain doc though.

Mine is in Aurora at Mercy, but I won't put you through that. I did put the name of place on another message in this thread. Don't expect a good visit or doc there seriously. I found many places around here just searching online.

Fox valley pain management is a joke. I get subs from them and it's always a huge issue. I got yelled at the week.

I've had similar issues regarding the pain and a hard time trying to find a doctor to prescribe narcotics. I had 3 foot surgeries, same foot. First doc screwed it up. From first surgery i got Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I then had another doc fix my foot September 2014. In December he took the metal posts out as they were killing me! In January I fell on my bad foot and broke my toe in 2 places, including the fusion. So now my foot doc is nervous because we thought id be getting off these meds now (Im taking the new extended release Hydrocodone - no tylenol! Called Zohydro ER). I take 2 per day as they are 12 hour. Not enough, I'm also on 6 Percocet per day. so now im on a hunt for a good pain doc in Aurora as well! I live a block away from West Aurora high school. I do know of an awesome doctor, my hubby uses him. His name is Dr. Eugene Lipov and hes in Hoffman Estates and Westmont. I dont want to go that far. So...im going to try a guy that someone referred me to. Heard he's nice. Dr. Hung-Yang Tsang. He's in the medical bldg at Provena Mercy. Good luck to you!

norcos are a true opiate. it's a brand like Seven jeans compared to True religions, what's not really an opiate about it? It's a loritab or hydrocodone with 10mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of Tylenol. it's not as strong as oxycontin or percocet, oxycodone, but it's an opiate. Not sure if it was in the short story that was the question where someone claimed it wasn't but whoever it was ill let u know it is.

I hv the same disks slipped, used to be an athlete 2, my 'pain docs' kept prescribing & then treating me like a drug seeker afterward. Then (get this)... they'd say i need to get off the opiates (they gave me) & go get drug a Therapist , then drop me like a bad habit. So then there was a massive withdrawal (we're talking morphine Valium, + Norco, Lyrica & Ibuprophen) just 6 6mo ago i could fly down the street w my forearm crutches (great workout btw), now im mostly bedbound @ my Mom's place w home care RN's 1/So & looking forward 2 an ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR because i only hv constant pain in my body from the waist dn w numbness & tingling. It's called "Cauda Equina Syndrome" seriously be careful with yourself especially since u camn still walk. Even if it kills you, get up & at least walk every day. Keep your triathalon mindset just do it even w/o the Norco, docs are a-holes w pain mgmt these days... i feel like docs would rather have a person bedbound & p*****g in a bedside commode than "take care" of a patient in (God forbid) pain. When a doc does actually manage my pain, im able to stand on my own 2 feet & get back to my own PT then theirs - i think maybe they're afraid we may heal up, get back in the gym, & not need them anymore..? Anyway, sorry to go off but i just dont want others to fall into their traps & end up like me. I was 1 of very few female bodybuilders.

Did anyone ever find good pain clinic in aurora or anywhere close to chicago? i am intrested in finding a doctor that will prescribe pain meds as well. i have a few hernias in my spine. ive had injections but also need the medication for everyday life. if anyone knows the answer to this please respond with the clinics name or dr.

Dr Kelly off of n.Aurora and 59 in building with Fox imaging if you have mri that's great! You were referred from aunt Martha's tell them it's DuPage pain specialist I believe that s the name of the office

Does anyone if DR.James Kelly is still easy to get pain meds from .I just moved to the area and have been seen and taking pain meds for years I saw a doc here and he would give me nothing Ihave rods up and down holding my knee together and the guy I saw said he thinks im not in pain

I'm in the same boat as you & I'm on the same medications. The Norco 10-325 is also what I take for the most part but I'm also on a few others like Morphine & Gabapentin. If you don't like the Lycria you could try the Gabapentin as I have been led to believe the side effects are not as severe.

Anyone know of a doc willing to RX norco at least 7.5?? Seeing a new doc and he dropped me down waaaaaay too low.. I was taking 1-2 every 4-6 hrs; I have a compression fracture, disc dessication, etc... Plz help, I'm in the central/southern IL area :/

I ALSO HAVE A PAIN PROBLEM. Chronic back, knee, fingers, all my joints are worn down from hard labor and stress. I hardly sleep at all. I have tried other meds like Vicodin, my father a Dr. gave me for back pain, morphine ER too strong, too long, Lyrica and Ibuprofen make me drowsy or mess up my stomach. What worked perfectly without feeling cloudy or nauseous was hydromorphone. 4 mg in the day and 4 at night. I could work without much pain, felt energized and could feel near normal and sleep better without tossing and turning every half hour. It pisses me off when you find a pain reliever that works but NOOOO you're a junkie because you want dilaudid. I know that you become dependent on them but that is the same with the non opiates that are TOXIC and have more side effects. Opiates have one, you need them. So why is it SO damn hard to live your life on your own choices? This will make US get illegal street versions or pills from someone. So what the hell? Our military is protecting fields of Opium for whom exactly? IT SHOULD BE EASIER TO GET PAIN MEDS than H but that is not the case for people who really need the pain relief. Please is there a Dr. out there who can help without the BS? Probably not but let me know.
