Will it give rusults for 6 month child of 6.5kg ## Hello, From what I can gather, Ondem Syrup contains the active ingredient Ondansetron; which is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. I would go ahead and follow the dosing instructions that your doctor provided, since only he knows the medical history of your child and can determine the amount of medication necessary based on his weight. There is no way to know for sure if the medications your child has been prescribed will help since everyone reacts to medication differently. Just be sure to consult your doctor if your child's symptoms become worse or don't...

UpdatedI took one dose, 1 1/2 hrs later, vomiting, diaherra, sweating alot. Ended up in ER with dehydration, and hypothermia, temp @ 93 degrees. I'm guessing the sweating gave my hypothermia, since it's mid summer. Doc tried saying it was probably stomach flu. I got sick taking this med before, just not to this extreme. Apparently if my temp dropped more, I could of been in real trouble. ## Sorry about what you've been through, that's very rough. And I have to say that I am really not surprised. Though it isn't common, some people do react this way to some antibiotics. I had it happen from one that I took last year, though the worst occurred after 9 and half days of dosing, so it took several weeks for everything to clear up…..and yes, I had gone to the ER and the doc...
Can I drink wine while taking this antibiotic? I have to take it for 5 days, if not can I drink on day 6 or later on day 5? ## Hi, Nikki! How are you? It is generally best to avoid alcohol while taking a prescription medication, because it can cause aggravation of the side effects, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness and drowsiness than usual. Basically one drink could end up being the same as drinking 2 or 3 and etc. Are there any other questions or concerns?
I experience vertigo periodically my french consultant on examination says due to the hairs in the middle ear has prescribed tanganil 500mgs tds for ten days. Why does this occur will this cure the condition ?? Our mutual understanding was limited. ## As to a cure, that really depends on what's causing your condition. It sounds like they thought you were having some type of inner ear problem, but I really can't say just from the information in your post. There are several things that can cause vertigo. Tanganil contains the active ingredient Acetylleucine, it is widely used in France to treat Vertigo, but it is not used in the U.S., so I don't have a lot of information on it. Does anyone else have more information? ## The equivalent used in the United States for vertigo (min...
Is hydroxychlorequine 200 mg,deflazacort 6 mg,pantoprazol sodium and domperidone 40 and 30 mg safe during lactation. ## I am using Domperidone to increase lactation. Can anyone please give an insight as to possible contra-indications on Domperidone in breast-milk for the infant?
Just started taking theses. What are the signs of low potassium? and also high potassium? ## Hi sandi, Based on my research, it is said that there are often no symptoms associated higher levels of potassium. However, some of the symptoms that may occur include: Nausea, a slow or weak pulse, or even suddenly collapsing due to a slow heartbeat. Despite how freaky that may sound, it would take someone eating 75 bananas in just under a few minutes in order to experience on overdose of potassium. Hopefully that helps put things into perspective. As far as low potassium levels are concerned, symptoms of hypokalemia may include: Abnormal heart rhythms, constipation, fatigue, muscle damage (rhabdomyolysis), muscular weakness or spasms, or even Paralysis (which can include the lungs). For your o...
Sad to see this drug has made its way back to the market. It was previously marketed as Bendectin, Debendox, Lenotan. My mam took it while pregnant with me in the 70's I was born with my right hand missing. No drug is safe during pregnancy. I hope history doesn't repeat itself. ## Hi vicki, Sorry to hear about what happened with one of your hands. In my honest opinion, I agree that most prescription drugs should be strictly abstained by pregnant women, unless the mother's benefits of using the medication clearly outweighs any possible risk to the fetus. Which, under such circumstances, one might wonder if this would only entail an otherwise life-threatening or unbearable condition that these types of medications are used to treat or make more tolerable. However, in the end p...

is there any side effects of oligocare forte tablet? like body pain or any other effect? ## Oligocare Forte is just a nutritional supplement that's used to support your overall health, because a deficiency in the vital nutrients it contains may contribute to infertility. Thus, it hasn't been tested for side effects as is done with actual prescription drugs, but it has been known to cause nausea in some people that take it, so they may do better taking it with a meal. Are there any other questions or concerns?
If you are on a lot of narcotics, how long does it take for Peridone to work, so as not to go through the terrible withdrawals. ## Hi Liz, From what I've read, Peridone contains the active ingredient Domperidone and it is not used to treat pain. My daughter had extensive surgery on her knee and Dr. has prescribed various pain meds but they cause nausea and she throws them up. Is there any new ones that might work that we can ask Dr. for, she's in a lot of pain. ## Hi, Peggy! How is she feeling? Virtually all strong pain medications can cause nausea, just due to how they affect the body. It would really make more sense for the doctor to prescribe her something to prevent the nausea. There are several good, strong prescription options available that are used for such a purpose. For instance, cancer patients often get severe nausea and vomiting from their treatments and can suffer severe weight loss, so a good preventative medication is needed.
What is the difference between the white and orange pill? My RX has switched to the white. I know it's cheaper so it would only make sense that there would be a reason. I also know that it effects me differently. I have noticed nausea and a lot of itching which seems to get worse after the third pill of the day. This means my evenings are very uncomfortable. It's like trading one evil for another. I have a lot of drug allergies so it could just be something small in the ingredients. I also do not tolerate many of the newer synthetic meds. Please advise. ## HI, Kelly! Sorry about the problem you're having. According to the manufacturer, they have only removed the dye from them, because some people were having problems due to being allergic or sensitive to it. However, going b...
I took nitrofur macr 100 mg for 6 days of the 7 day prescription. I was having serious side effects, such as difficulty breathing, chills, intense nausea, and a skin rash. Within 24 hours of stopping the medication all of the side effects disappeared, except the skin rash. I have been off the medication for 3 days now and the rash is still present. Should I call a doctor or will it go away eventually on its own? ## Sorry that happened, Amber! You should call your doctor to be sure and maybe get something to lessen the duration of the rash, but if that's all you have left, it's doubtful that it's anything dangerous, unless you see signs of the skin breaking and tearing, ulcerating, bleeding, turning black or other unusual symptoms. However, those are signs of an allergy to th...
My doctor told me too take only the blue pill so I won't have a period, but I still on my period an on my second pack of pills . Is this my break threw bleeding and will it work will I not have a period if I keep taking my pills like my doctor said???? ## Yes, that would be what's considered breakthrough bleeding, which can happen for the first several months as your body gets used to the hormones, since these contain synthetic ones. And as to whether or not you will have a period while taking them, there is actually no way for anyone to know. The only thing you can do is try it and see. It does work for some women, but since these are synthetic hormones as I said, it does affect your natural hormone balance, so it doesn't work that way for every woman that takes them. Did y...

Underlying Sjogren's syndrome ## This was just a brand name for a saliva substitute product for people that no longer produce it on there own, or who don't produce enough. There are really no side effects or other information to provide on these types of products, because they are specially designed to just moisten the mouth and throat. Most do not have any flavor, don't cause nausea or etc. Are there any questions about them?
