Hi Carol,

The best place to start would be on this site's National Drug Code Database. From there you can start typing the name of the drug in the search filter and it will narrow down the listings and show you the drug name, dose, and manufacturer.

Also note that the NDC codes are not always 11 digits, depending on the listing. They appear to organize records here by master NDC code first (which is about 8 digits), and then WITHIN that page it shows the longer codes since they correspond with the specific packaging.

So for example:

0591-3202 refers to the APAP 325 mg / Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5 mg Oral Tablet from Watson ... but WITHIN that there are 2 separate package codes which look like the full NDC codes which you appear to be looking for. Just the last 2 digits are different depending if you are referring to a bottle of 100 or a bottle of 500.

0591-3202-01: 100 TABLET IN 1 BOTTLE, PLASTIC
0591-3202-05: 500 TABLET IN 1 BOTTLE, PLASTIC

Thank you for that info. I was able to get the eight or nine digits on some of the meds but didn't get the last two. Will try your suggestion. CHAMPVA is very specific about what they want. Appreciate your help.
