National Drug Code (0591396901) Metronidazole

This is the Ndc # for Watson's Metronidazole. Is this drug still good? It's 250mg and it expired in 2015.

If it is in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, and not the original sealed manufacturers container, then the expiration would have been in 2016. It does not become dangerous after it expires, but it does begin to lose efficacy, thus the best thing to do would be to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
