Naltrexone Question
UpdatedMy adult son took 1/4 of a 50MG naltrexone last night and is going through precipitated withdrawals now. He asked me to post the following question. What would happen if he took the another 1/4 later in the day? He is bound and determined to making his doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for a vivitrol shot.

Hello, BuckOwen! How is your son doing?
He'll likely keep experiencing severe withdrawals. However, the thing you need to be aware of is that precipitated withdrawals can be very dangerous, possibly life threatening. He could even suffer seizures from them.
Other typical PW symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may also include fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea and insomnia.
What did his doctor tell him to do, before starting the shot?
Long ago but I hope he is well. Yeah precipitated withdraw no joke
