Updated

I was curious if this medication helps with pain from opiate withdrawal?

Una-contrary! It will make withdrawals much worse. You may use naltrexone at least 7 days after you stop using opiates.

I've been taking oxycodone for years now. I took the vivitrol shot yesterday without detoxing from pills. I went into a very violent withdrawal for about 12 hours. no sleep at all. I am still in withdrawal because of getting off pills. But if i took a pill, would it help with my bad withdrawals or will naltrexone throw me into a worse intense withdrawal?

Instructions for naltrexone suggest no opiate use for 7 days. I start in 2 days and have taken an opiate maybe 5 times over the last 3 days. Will there be any reaction still because there is no addiction? I wouldn't have thought it possible.

Before taking this medication, you must be free from all opiates, otherwise the FDA warns that it could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, which could including nausea, vomiting, rebound pain, and dangerous seizures.

How are you all doing? Did you experience any problems?

Matin, how are you doing? I am so sorry, you must have been really miserable.

Nope, it’ll just slam you into withdrawal faster.

That doctor who gave you that shot while you still had opioids in your system did malpractice. I am sorry they did this to you.

Re: Optimistic (# 5) Expand Referenced Message

Many people choose to use Naltrexone to rapidly withdrawal from opioids. Rather than being sick for 5-7 days, you'll start to feel better in 2-3 days.

That makes sense. I take LDN and oxycodone and when I accidentally took two LDNs one morning I gave myself withdrawal I had to take an extra oxycodone and take a nap, but I woke up fine.
Idk I have only come off pain pills by weaning off them slowly but next time I might try this if it makes the 3-5 days more like 1-3 days. ???????
