Naltrexone Alcohol Side Effect

So I've been taking naltrexone for the past month or two to reduce alcohol cravings. Last night I decided to drink, I had two beers and was so nauseous from it the whole time drinking, I ended up throwing up. Which is very unlike me.

Well, it can cause nausea as a side effect, as listed by the FDA and drinking alcohol while taking any medication can worsen the side effects. You may also experience dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.

It's best to refrain from drinking alcohol, when taking any prescription medication.

I've been taking Naltrexone for about a year now. It was prescribed for opiates, but it really makes me not want to drink too. The main reasons being I have terrible heartburn most times I drink. I'm not sure if that's due to the medication, or just my body telling me to cut it the hell out. lol. The last time I drank I got really sick. I did drink a lot, but I feel like I get sicker faster now. Maybe it's just because I'm not really drinking anymore so I can't handle it. I just don't feel like it's as much fun to drink on this medication. I just think about how many calories I'm consuming and figure it's not worth putting on weight and being sick and miserable with very little reward. Does anybody else feel like it's just not worth it to drink on this medication? Does anybody else get sick faster while drinking and taking Naltrexone?
