Naltrexone + Lexapro. Drinking

Has anyone been prescribed both and drank at the same time? I did and I can usually put down 12-15 beers, I've finished 3 and feel all drunk or dizzy or something

Naltrexone can help reduce alcohol cravings, but it won't actually stop you from drinking, neither will the Lexapro.

While it can worsen the side effects that the FDA lists, such as the dizziness, drowsiness, headache and nausea, you can still drink if you choose.

It's just like quitting smoking, you have to help the medication work, it can't do everything on its own.

How long have you been taking them?

I have been on Naltrexone for about a month now and has absolutely no desire to drink. However, I do know if I wanted to have one or two I could do it and stop there, but I just don't have the desire. Cant explain it.. Just have no desire to drink anymore. Hope it works for you.
