8 REPLIES UpdatedDoes anyone have any incite on which manufacturer makes the most effective and best quality nadolol? For years I took yellow nadolol manufactured by Cipla. This month the pharmacy dispensed blue nadolol manufactured by Bayshore instead. Is there an authorized generic more similar to the Brand Corgard? ## Hello, Pat! How are you doing? Is the new one you've received working for you? There really isn't any specific one that can be said to be the best, since it can vary from person to person, the one that works well for you, might not work as well for someone else. The only thing you can really do is try it, and see. Nadolol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?

3 REPLIES UpdatedAs far as I was told its used in some cases as a treatment for high blood pressure due to portal hypertension. I'm not 100% positive but I think if the person is not able to take other blood pressure meds that would result in extremely low and dangerous side effects and not help the actual issue. I'm no doctor but pretty well informed on this med. ## From what I could gather, a round yellow pill imprinted with m171 is reportedly identified as Nadolol (40 mg). This medication is indicated to treat high blood pressure among other conditions not limited to anxiety, migraine prevention and chest pain. 2 REPLIES Updatednadolol 40 mg can it be split ## Hi bernie, Usually if there is a score line (divid) embedded into the tablet, it means the manufacturer purposely made it so patients could easily cut it in half. And after looking at several images of Nadolol 40mg tabs on the internet, it appears that nearly all of them do have a score line. So in that aspect I don't see why you wouldn't be able to split it in half, provided that it's ok with your doctor. I hope this helps!

8 REPLIES Updatedare they going to stop production of nadolol ## I haven't come across any specific details stating whether or not Nadolol or any of its brand names are going to be discontinued. Did you hear this news from your local pharmacist? I would probably recommend contacting the manufacturer directly if you are wondering whether or not they are going to continue making that drug. This type of information is usually best taken from the source itself. In the meantime though, it may be a good idea to talk to your doctor about other similar alternatives. I hope this helps!

1 REPLY Updatedm ontop and 171 on tha bottom ## This is generic Nadolol for the brand name Corgar R. It is a beta-blocker used for the heart. It is commonly prescribed for high blood pressure; however, it can be prescribed for tremors or anxiety as well.
