Norco To Stronger Rx

I've taken prescribed amount of 5/325-Norco or hydrocodone today for lower back bulging disc, DDD, nerve damage. Pain is not controlled this pm. How soon can I safely take oxycodone tonight? Can I safely take a norco and an oxycodone at different times on the same day. (If the norco at first does not help my pain.) Norco first gave some relief when first saw pain management Dr. and primary care Dr. As more time goes by my original RX is not helping ongoing pain. Thank you

That can be done, if your doctor approves, they are often prescribed together to manage severe pain, or when being switched from one to the other, the next dose is usually just switched out with the new one.

However, self-medicating could be dangerous and may result in overdose, if someone isn't opiate tolerant.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have they both been prescribed for you?
