i was on neurontin for a while, and it did no good...they won't let you take other meds so they can monitor how well it helps you..if it is for severe nerve pain, ask your md about a drug called lyrica made by pfizer

hi, I take loratab and MS Contin and my doctor just put me on neurontin. So I don't know why you can't take Darvocet with it. Might be a doctor that just don't like pain pills. Its best to go to Pain Management, they understand pain. I have a herniated disc pinching a root nerve. I need back surgery. Hope this helps.

There is no MEDICAL reason why you cannot take Neurontin with other meds, even narcotics, it does not have any adverse reactions to most of the other drugs on the market, that is why it is so popular for usage.
I am suspecting the reasoning is probably similar to what Barb said in her post, they cannot adequately evaluate how much the Neurontin helps or doesn't, if you are still taking other pain meds with it.
I am also a person who tried it for awhile and had no results from it. It only works for certain people for certain types of nerve pain.

first off Darvocet has 700mg of Tylenol in it and it can kill you if you take too much. My guess is the combination of the two drugs is probably going to do more harm than good. I was told Darvocet was off the market due to Tylenol level.
