my pill is white oblong I was just wondering what the difference is regarding the info i have noted in the subject area, versus the 58 59 and letter v you indicate on your info.

Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is the generic for the antibiotic Bactrim and, as a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies.

So the only difference in the 2 you've mentioned is that they have been manufactured by different companies.

By law, even though the medication and dosage may be the same, each company has to use different imprints, so if there would be an emergency, such as accidentally tainted product, the manufacturer can be identified, so the matter can be properly handled.
