My Neighbor Is Stealing My Vicodin

I just picked up a new prescription of vicodin from the pharmacy a week ago and i've taken four. The rx was for 60 and i counted three times and the count keeps coming up to 40. I noticed my neighbor when I visit or outside working always offers to fetch things for me in my house. I have fibromyalgia and I have two tears in my rotator cuff. I try not to take them but sometimes the pain can be unbelievable. I am on a lot of medication and I even noticed my adderall coming up short. I would like to make sure before I confront her. I know that she has her own rx but when she gets them she has said that she sells hers. Is there anything that I can replace my vicodin with, without it being too noticeable?

Hi Linda - sorry to hear about that. It might be tough to find a vitamin or OTC product which resembles a prescription tablet because of how specific the markings need to be on prescription drugs. With that said, why can't you just hide your pills somewhere now that you suspect your neighbor to be a pill thief? And if you're looking at the real shady side they do sell pill presses and the like on ebay for people who make counterfeit drugs but I'm not condoning or encouraging that route...

I hide all my prescriptions and locked them up. But unfortunately I didn't think anything of it before so I've been rounding up all my medications. Arrrg, I'm also missing a whole bottle of muscle relaxers. I know the doctor will not replace. It just saddens me because I really trusted this person. But what I also did was went to the pharmacy and picked up laxatives that look like them or at least close and filled the vicodin bottle up with those and left them where I always do. Just letting her know that I know without saying a word. S*** happens.

Yes indeed, s*** happens, whether metaphorically or literally it seems. From what you told me about them, if they are foolish enough to steal meds from someone who is supposed to trust them, then they will probably just take the laxatives without bothering to look. SMH.
