My Lip Wont Heal?!
UpdatedI cut my lip about 3 yrs ago... Since then it will not heal and seems to have (for lack of better words) spread across my lip. I have never had a cold sore or herpes, this was when I cut my lip... It starts to heal but then will not. Drs keep telling me to try Abbreva, Vaseline, different lip balms, and I even tried Muprocin.... No matter what I try it does NOT heal.... My lip has a lot of scar tissue in it now, its always sore, and this is now 3 years... Should a dr. prescribe an antibiotic? They don't want to do anything and I have seen 4 different drs in that time... aggravated... I'm thinking I have lip cancer since it's been 3 years.... It will even scab up if I put nothing on it. I was even thinking about surgery glue so it stays covered for a week. I have tried everything OTC.... every lip med, even new skin... and Dr's never give me an antibiotic... I had blood work done and it showed my white blood cells were very high too.... Help please!
