My younger brother aged 35 years had a problem of double vision in left eye due to nerve damage and as per doctor advise, he used wysolone tablets 120mg per day along with other medicines for 45 days. The doctor did not told us the side effect of wysolone and precautions which we have to take while using wysolone. We don't know that wysolone is a steroid. Due to this drug, my brother got side effects such as round face, double chin, rashes on all over body and heavy hungry. His eye problem is reduced in these 45 days. after 45 days, the doctor reduced wysolone drug by 80mg, 60mg,40mg like that per day. After 3days, he got problems of loose motions and vomtings and he became very weak. I took him to hospital. Doctors told that he is suffering with lack of immunity power due to steroid intake. After that he developed multi organ failure such as ARDS (Accute Respiratory Dissiminate Syndrom) or accute lung injury, brain failure, liver damage, kidnies damage, shortage of blood cells (plasma) etc. All this problems he got due to immuno suppression secondary to steroid intake. He treated on mechanical ventilator for 12 days. It is a costly treatment for us and we expend 8 lacs for his treatment by borrow money from friends, relatives and bank. After putting all efferts, he died and leave us in sadness. If the doctor tell us about the side effect of wysolone, my brother will live with us and my parents don't get depression at this age. I request all of you that please take care while using of wysolone. This drug will eat immunity power and will cause so many problems.

I have hypersensitivity pneumonitis i used to take WYSOLONE 10mg for2years.

Then doctor told me to take Wysolone 5 mg,Since 1 month i was was advised to stop wysolone. But now I feel very weak and uneasy

I'm Female, 61 yrs of age. I have polyarthritis (RS3PE syndrome). My medicine is as follows: 1) wysolone 10 bd 2) Folvite-5mg-1tab 3) HCQS-200mg 4) Folitray-15mg. All these meds. I've taken for one month. 5) Human Mixtured-(30/70) dose 20-14-14. After one month the side effects are: 1) Swelling face 2) Rash on joints 3) blood sugar high, pp-230mg/DL. Please advise. Thanks.

Dear LB,
Please don't stop using wysolene all of a sudden,my mother did the same mistake and had to face many retrieval symptoms. She was not able to eat anything,severe vomiting,food aversion.
Kindly take doctor's advice in stopping wysolene

Hi my son is suffering from nephrotic syndrome doctor advised wysolene 25 mg a day nd reduced gradually nd stopped after 6 months. It relapsed after 5 months again started with 25 mg nd slowed down quickly but from almost 1 year he is on 5 mg alternative days. He is just 5 yr old nd had developed cough nd kind wheezing nd flum. Even after treating its frequently coming back. I m really unable to see my son suffering plz advice nd give me solution to bring my son out of this

Dear friends, I also used this medicine for 2 months. Of course this caused the weight gain but if doctor prescribed properly that how & how much of this medicine can be taken, then this will not be so harmful as we know about surendra's brother. I think 120mg is a very high dose and the period of 45 days to take is a very long period after that the period to reduce the dosage was not as much as required in the surendra's brother's case. I have take the highest dose of 60mg for ten days after that reduced the dose to 50mg for next 10 days and in the same succession reduced to 40,30,20 and 10 mg respectively with the doctor's prescription. But I have not felt any side effect except weight gain. My problem is glaucoma in left eye.

I am suffering from acute asthma. Consultant doctor has advised me to take wysolone 30 mg for 7 days.But he has not prescribed the reducing dose. Shall I take 30 mg for 7 days and stop the dose or I will take the tab in reducing dose. Please also advice how the reducing dose will be ?

My younger brother was diagnosed as nephritic syndrome..after that he was advised to take wysolone for 6 months with temporary relief..now after taking this treatment for 3 years..his condition got fatal...Now he is under homeopathic treatment for 6 months..completely away from wysolone..his condition is better now..

GUYS using that s*** will ruin ur life..go for alternative treatments like homeo.. now he is a lot better than before..{edited for privacy}

Hello,

Even my mother is facing the same problem as well. She is taking 20mg per a day and of course has the same side effects like round face and a problem in her brain. We went to many hospitals but there is no use. I don't know how to get her to safely stop taking the steroid. Please anyone suggest how to save my mom...

Hi. My doctor also diagnosed me with Crohn's.. they started Wysolone 30 mg daily + Pentasa 1000 mg 3 times a day. I started 1 month back.. now I am having headache. Growth in heart rate etc. But I continued my alternate ayurvedic medicine also.. for High acidity and ulcer.

Guys Crohn's is curable and in India we have lots of medicine on it in Ayurveda. Crohn's named person searched this disease so he gave his name. In Western countries there was no disease prior like this so it's got registered in all minds. But our Ayurveda is 5000 years old. Our Ayurveda is older than him. Ayurveda says it happens because of high acidity, acidity converts into ulcer and ulcer cause for irritated bowel and swelling of inner layer of intestines and it got thickened. After when some bacteria affects that area it causes for problem like loose motion. Heavy Ness after eating. Less consumption of water. Weight loss. Etc. I have did lots of home research etc. Now I feel I got the answer. I am going to continue my Ayurveda.. and stopping my allopathic medicine. It's steroids so I have stop with consultant. I will do it in next appointment.

Guys main thing is we have to dignosed properly. When allopathic doctor did not get answer they starts Steroids. Go for root cause. They attack on that with Ayurveda it's safe and long term curable. Except TB and Cancer disease. Not curable in Ayurveda.
