My Dosage Of Amoxicillin For Pneumonia

I was prescribed two amoxicillins for pneumonia. Amoxicillin 500mg and Amoxicillin /K Clav 875-125. Im suppose to take both twice a day and levofloxacin 750mg once a day. Is this too much antibiotics?

Hello, Ruth! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're ill.

No, multiple antibiotics are often prescribed, in the case of severe infections, to try to get the bacteria under control, so it can be eradicated as fast as possible.

You may, however, experience more severe side effects than when taking only one, such as more severe dizziness, drowsiness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
