Updatedkindly advise is it safe to use qutipine to a 65 year old patient as she is drowsy all throughout the day.she was on chloropromazine for 13 years recently changed to olanzepine which worked well.but doctor has changed to qutipine which is acting like a sedative.what shall we do

Slowly decrease the dose
I would try zyprexa again, without the clozeril. Another hip drug is mirtazapine. The use of seroquel is indicated for geriatric dosing - just keep it al low as possible because it makes just about anyone very sleepy especially at the lower geriatric doses.
