My Dr Has Me On Both Omeprazole 40mg Twice Daily And Dexilant 60mg Once Is This Ok

is it ok to take Dexilant 60mg once daily and Omeprazole 40mg twice daily my dr put me on this i now have cough, runny nose, insomnia

Dexilant contains Dexlansoprazole, which is really in the same class as the Omeprazole, but they can be used together if your doctor deems it necessary and is monitoring you.

They both reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions such as ulcers, heartburn, GERD and Gastritis.

The only problem that some people run into is that they sometimes find out that they aren't producing enough stomach acid and it may take longer to digest foods, or they may experience nausea and vomiting, so make sure you watch for that and contact your doctor, if it occurs.

Which medication is better to treat Ulcers, heartburn or GERD? Dexilant or Omeprazole. Dexilant is more expensive than Omeprazole. Thanks in advance. BJ.

can i take dexilant and prilosec? MY dr just prescribed dexilant but so far no relief, and if i have attacks rite away in morning should i take the night before to try to get ahead of it?

I've had a cough since July. I now have cracked/bruised ribs from coughing. I've been to gastrointestinal Drs since my late 20s. I'm 73 now and been on several ppi meds. Now on dexikant one a day and Zantac 3x daily. Cough still bad. And now rib problem. Desperate now. Can you provide suggestions to try?

Hydrocodone,,, 10-325 1 tab 2 X a Day.... remember actifed C well C was Codine and that stops the effect of coughing immediately.
