Scopinal contains the active ingredient Scopolamine, it is commonly used to treat nausea and other intestinal or stomach problems.
And no, that is actually a sign of an allergic reaction. Have you contacted his doctor, yet?
It doesn't sound like a severe one, if he wasn't having difficulty breathing, but it may require follow up treatment.
