My 2 White Pills Are Not The Same

I have 2 different types of pills that are supposed to be exactly the same. One is round, white and has a line across the back of it, and on other side it has in big numbers 54 and under that is the number 543. The other pill is flat, smooth, white, plain on one side and on the other side it has the number 4839 with a line under that and a kind of cursive V. I received the latter one a while ago when I had dental work done and it helped me so much. My general practitioner prescribed the first one for major pelvic and lower back pain and they are supposed to be the exact same thing and I assure you they are not. I cannot pinpoint the difference. Is it a different manufacturer or just one little ingredient difference? I must find out the answer to this, because I am in massive pain and scared to death to take the one with 543 on it cause within 5 minutes I'm doubled over in pain and it feels like I have a cendar block in my gut with razor blades on it ~ and simply can't go the bathroom ~ it kills me!! If you could possibly find an answer for me I would be so grateful!! I'm not crazy, I know they are different!! I'm allergic to aspirin if that helps. God bless you!! Help me please.

They both contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Percocet, they are just manufactured by different companies.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? What have you tried taking to alleviate the constipation?
