You say you started your "meds", plural, i.e. more than one medication, 2 weeks ago and have been suffering these symptoms. If so, we have no way of knowing which medication may be causing your symptoms. In addition, the symptoms may be the result of 2 or more of your meds interacting in a way that causes. If you want better information, please give us a list of all the meds you are taking, and not just the ones you started 2 weeks ago.
I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I picked up my medication today (0.05 MG of Synthoid), but after reading all of the possible side effects, I'm afraid to take it. Is this safe? The side effects range from mild to very severe.
I am totally suffering on levothyroxine and I'm scared because I feel like i'm dying. What on earth is happening to me. The dose has gradually been increased from 25mcg to 100mcg and I'm told my tsh is normal range which I know is untrue ie 3.80. Every time I get a new dosage I get a new brand and all of them are awful. I have such terrible pains in my feet and sometimes in my legs. I feel tired. I get headaches. I have pains in my shoulders and neck. My feet burn. Am I allergic to levothyroxine? what is the alternative because I think there is no choice in the UK. What would happen if I just stopped taking the stuff to see what happens. I never had any of this until I took the meds.
I just started the meds. was prescribed synthroid but pharmacy gave me levothyroxin. Am having some weakness in legs and severe muscle cramps which I never had before. Dr said this should not be a side effect from meds and my potassium may be low. Strange it didnt start until I began the meds which has only been 2 weeks.
ARE YOU TAKING CERTAIN STATIN DRUGS LIKE LIPITOR ZOCOR FOR CHOLESTROL IF SO THEY CAN CAUSE CRAMPS MUSCLE WEAKNESS. IF SO STOP TAKING THEM AND TELL THE DOCTOR.
It is not listed in the common side effects, but that does not mean that it may not affect some people in this manner. I suggest you speak to your doctor to discuss the possibility.

I too have muscle weekness. I noticed my muscle tone has changed and now I get cramps in my body. I am wondering if this is from this drug.
