Multiple Myeloma Pain

I have severe multiple myeloma pain on my hips, more so on my left side. A steel pin has been inserted from my hip to my knee and screwed to the bone and spine-cemented. NO CONTROL OF THE PAIN. ONLY MINOR IMPROVEMENT. I have been taking MS Contin 30mg and Codeine phosphate 2 tabs twice a day.

Has your doctor considered trying you on Oxycodone, or Fentanyl? I am not a doctor, but they are a couple of stronger options you can ask your doctor about trying.
