Multaq/myelodysplastic Syndrones

I have been on Multaq for 6 months since I had an ablation in January.
The fatigue, skin rash an itching have hit me full force. After an appointment with my cardioligyst he recommended blood tests which indicated anemia. There is now an appointment with a hematoligist to check for Myelodysplastic syndrome. Could ther be a connection between the two?

It is not known to be associated with it, nor is in the warnings about the medication.

We are also not medical professionals, so we can't possibly guess at whether or not there is a connection.
