Multaq/amiodarone

I had been taken off of Amiodarone because I was drifting towards hyperthyroidism. The EP put me on Multaq which was totally ineffective in keeping my A-Fib under control. After a year of this, and being in and out of A-Fib for all that time, and miserable, he and my cardiologist decided I should resume Amiodarone. It's been about 2 months now since the changeover and I feel great! No A-Fib and, so far, no side effects. If I start to have thyroid issues again, I will have to deal with that or be a candidate for ablation.

I am glad that the Amiodarone is working well for you, now.

Multaq has, unfortunately, proven to be one of those medications that works really well for people, or not at all, it seems. We've had some people get great results from it, but just as many others that found it to be ineffective.
