Is taking mucobron forte capsule 3 x a day has side effect for pregnant woman?

Mucobron Forte contains Chlopheniramine, Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin and Phenylpropanolamine, it is used to treat respiratory problems, such as the symptoms associated with a cold or allergies.

The two concerns here, from what I can find, are the Dextromethorphan and the Phenylpropanolamine, their haven't really been any studies done using the in pregnant women, but animal studies have shown their to be some risk and the Phenylpropanolamine has been shown to cause some eye and ear defects, in the babies of pregnant women that have used it.

My doctor advised me to take this because according to her it's already safe since I'm 8 months pregnant. But I'm still in doubt though.
