Moving Oxycodone Treatment From Idaho From Colorado

I've been prescribed oxycodone 15mg for almost 3 years now I take one tablet 4x a day I have chronic back pain from a bad accident in the past I've tried physical therapy and natural remedies but pain killers is the only thing that helps me get threw the day. when I find a new doctor will they prescribe my medication without any problems or will it be difficult for me to get it with all the new law changes I'm only 21 I've had the same doctor as a child so he knows all my medical history and knows I don't abuse them but if I see a new doctor they might stereotype me because of my age. I don't want to move and not be able to get my medication because of people my age ruining it abusing narcotics.

The best advice I can give you is to not ask for controlled substances when you call a new doctor's office to set up an appointment, but rather make sure they receive a full copy of your most current medical records, and discuss your treatment options, once they have perused them, and you are there in person at your appointment.

If you ask ahead of time about being prescribed such medications, most doctor's, and their employees will view it as being drug seeking behavior, so they will say they don't prescribe them, and won't even let you get in the door.

The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.

Have you tried asking your current doctor for a letter of referral? That might help you to get established with a new doctor.
